Ionia. Miletos. before 575 BC. Electrum Stater (13.99 g). Recumbent roaring lion left, head reverted, all within hatched border. Reverse: Central oblong punch containing running fox, plus three pellets, two joined; left cruciform punch with five joined pellets; right cruciform punch with stag head. Cf. Weidauer 126; Boston MFA 182 (different sequence of punches). A couple of small trivial scuffs, and some scattered light porosity. Overall, quite nice for issue. Very Fine.
