1928 $20 St. Gaudens. NGC graded MS-65 Star. A superbly original gem held off the market since its purchase from the U.S. Mint in 1928. Orange-gold surfaces with finely granular surfaces and resplendent luster. Light olive iridescence found scattered throughout. We note the presence of a tiny black spot attached to the folds of the lower gown. It would be our opinion that this spot could be expertly removed and we urge our bidders to carefully view this example as we feel it is choice for the grade. Given the "star" designation for its superior eye appeal.
