Lot 2670

1923 $20 St. Gaudens. PCGS graded MS-64. Very deep orange gold surfaces with rich, gem grade luster. A well struck piece and only the stars directly under the lower portion of the gown display any weakness. A vast number of these are known in MS-64 but the population in gem grades is a tiny fraction of those known in near-gem. PCGS has graded 49 in MS-65 with a single MS-66 as finest (PCGS # 9175) .
Estimated Value $650 - 700.
The Michael M. Magdic Collection.
