1908-S $20 St. Gaudens. NGC graded MS-62 PQ. A scarce to rare San Francisco issue of which only 22,000 pieces were minted. In mint state, the 1908-S is very tough and is in strong demand. The grade distribution in mint state is pretty even, with on average less than 20 graded by NGC per grade. In gem condition, the 1908-S is straight up rare! A well struck coin with orange-gold surfaces. Luster is abundant and only a few wispy hairlines exist in the fields. A short tick is found on Liberty's gown. NGC population 31 with 43 finer.
