Lot 2510

1890-CC $20 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-55 PQ. Undipped satiny surfaces with deep yellow gold. A touch of reflectivity is noted in the fields. The expected abrasions for a Carson City double eagle are found scattered about and several heavier reed marks exist on reverse. A relatively plentiful issue up to the mid-AU levels but rare in correctly graded mint state. Small pricing spreads between AU55 and AU58 levels allow for the existence of many choice AU-55 coins, this being one of them. Housed in an old PCGS green label holder. PCGS population of 174 in AU-55 (PCGS # 9014) .
Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,500.

Realized $1,840
