1908-D $10 Gold Indian. No motto. PCGS graded MS-63. Soft rose gold coloration with the expected amount of luster for a MS-63 example. Areas of obverse strike weakness in the hair right of ear and feathers, a common occurrence as noted by David Akers in his work on 20th Century gold. A small curved scuff mark just below chin in field. A rare issue in MS-62 to MS-63, very rare in MS64 and excessively rare above. Mintage of 210,000. PCGS has graded 45 in MS-63, 25 in MS-64, 2 in MS-65 and 5 in MS-66 as finest (PCGS # 8854) .
