1891-CC $10 Gold Liberty. PCGS graded MS-62. It is always satisfying to observe original gold coins from the Carson City mint. So many coins have been dipped or scrubbed up that it is easy to forget how pleasing the characteristics of original coins truly are. The present example has a definitive contrast between the semi-reflective fields and frosted devices. A small reed mark across the nose is the only mark that distracts the eye from the otherwise pristine condition of this coin. The second C of the mintmark is repunched and obvious. A rich orange-gold specimen that will unquestionably receive high bidding from the experienced gold collector (PCGS # 8720) .
Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,400.

Realized $1,783
