Lot 1916

1884-S Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-61. A fresh example that possesses crisp silvery surfaces accented with mottled iridescence. The reverse coloration has a more intense golden glow to it. The 1884-S is a better date Morgan that quickly becomes a conditional rarity in the lower mint state grades. Choice AU-58 examples are tough and liquid in today's market and this rare uncirculated specimen should bring excited bidding. An aesthetically unique example that would fit perfectly in a top level uncirculated Morgan Dollar set. NGC population of 112 in MS-61, 98 in MS-62, 44 in MS-63, 13 in MS-64 and a single MS-65 as the finest.
Estimated Value $4,700 - 5,000.
