1882 Trade Dollar. NGC graded Proof 66. A beautifully toned and lustrous gem proof Trade Dollar! Fully mirrored fields are not diminished in any way by a light stormy gray film on the surfaces. Liberty is entirely frosted and from the recessed areas of her gown, vivid prismatic toning seeps out at the viewer. The obverse periphery displays electric violet, blue, teal and bright yellow toning. All of this eye appeal is further enhanced by crisp radial luster. Reverse surfaces are more uniformly lavender in coloration and possess a touch more luster than the obverse. A proof only issue with a mintage of only 1,097 pieces. Population of 35, 5 in 67 and 4 in 68.
