1917 Liberty Walking Half Dollar. SEGS graded Proof 63. A needle sharp strike exhibiting wide edges, a full head on Liberty, sharply separated fingers on her outstretched hand and a defined branch hand. All the criteria (and more) that is described by Walter Breen in his Encyclopedia of United States and Colonial Proof Coins. The matte proof surfaces are platinum-grey in color. Breen notes only two, and possibly a third specimen to exist.
