1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Reeded edge. PCGS graded EF-45. Unquestionably one of the finer circulated examples that one could hope to acquire! Stunning golden and iridescent toning on both obverse and reverse, heaviest on the reverse. Even technical wear without any large grade determining marks. An important type coin designed by Christian Gobrecht with the denomination spelled out "50 Cents" and struck only in 1836-1837 at the Philadelphia Mint (PCGS # 6175) .
