1827 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Square base 2. PCGS graded MS-63. Sharply struck with almost complete definition in the hair. Silky luster engulfs the entire obverse and reverse surfaces. Raised die lines are found at the tip of the bust, a diagnostic for the variety. While not the rarest of varieties, the surfaces are extremely clean and choice for the grade. Underneath the eagle's right wing there are some raised bumps. PCGS population of 86 with 68 finer (PCGS # 6144) .
