1820 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Curl base 2, small date. PCGS graded AU-55. A frosty white and conservatively graded example of this Capped Bust half dollar variety. Surfaces are way above average for the assigned graded and we note some trivial marks on the lower chin and several marks in the vertical stripes of the shield. PCGS population of 22 with 33 finer Capped Bust half dollars dated 1820 are seen much less frequently that other dates and this choice example is a prime buying opportunity! (PCGS # 6121) .
