1817 Capped Bust Half Dollar. . Overton-103, Rarity-2. PCGS graded MS-62. Deep antique gray surfaces with underlying iridescence. Prismatic yellow, green and magenta on the obverse and soft, steel-blue on the reverse. A crisp example that is well struck and has nice, bold denticles. A pleasing example and a desirable variety. PCGS has graded 17 in MS-62, 16 in MS-63, 7 in MS-64 and 2 in MS-65 as finest (PCGS # 6109) .
