1840 Liberty Seated Half Dime. No drapery. PCGS graded MS-65 PQ. A white and lustrous gem example with smooth, satiny surfaces and top notch eye appeal. Impressively struck with all details sharp. One of only three years on which the Philadelphia Mint produced No Drapery half dimes, 1838-1840. A more available issue than its With Drapery counterpart but still conditionally rare in this choice gem grade. PCGS population of 19 in MS-65, 7 in MS-66, 6 in MS-67 and a single MS-68 as finest (PCGS # 4321) .
