Lot 805

1796 Draped Bust Dollar. Small date, large letters. B-4a. PCGS graded AU-55. A fabulous example of this popular type. Boldly struck with lots of detail on what is basically, a problem-free planchet. We do note some faint adjustment marks on the obverse, but these can only be seen under magnification. The surfaces are silvery and mostly untoned. Perfect for the type collector, and the draped bust, small eagle variety is one of the more difficult coins to find in each of the silver denominations. Worth a strong bid from a collector who whats a choice example. Pop of 5 and only 2 better, both AU-58s (PCGS # 6860) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 12,000.

Realized $18,400
