Lot 73

1856 Flying Eagle Cent. PCGS graded Proof 65. A stunning, well struck example of this classic rare issue. The diagnostic lump on the serif of the N in CENT is present, confirming the proof status. Toned a gorgeous mahogany brown with golden and olive iridescence. A few trivial marks here and there, none of which can be seen without the aid of magnification some of which are on the holder and not on the actual coin. Always in strong demand for its tiny mintage and inclusion in all those date sets. Pop of 40 with 4 in PR-66 and 1 in PR-67.
Estimated Value $17,000 - 19,000.

Realized $21,275
