Tiberius, 14-37 AD. AR Denarius, Lugdunum mint, after 16 AD. "Tribute Penny". Laureate of head Tiberius right. Reverse: Livia, as Pax, enthroned right, holding branch and scepter. RIC 26; BMCRE 34. Trivial graffiti on obverse, otherwise well struck with pleasing portrait. Also, Agrippa, d. 14 AD., AE As struck by Caligula: Head left, wearing rostral crown / Neptune left, holding trident. RIC 58. Fine strike, but obvious smoothing before neck, with tooling to chin and jaw. Still, an attractive example, with green and reddish patina. Lot of 2 coins. Silver Very Fine plus; Bronze better.
