Julius Caesar, d. 44 BC. AR Denarius, struck by L. Mussidius Longus, Rome, 42 BC. Wreathed head of Caesar right. Reverse: Cornucopia atop globe, between rudder and caduceus, priest's hat to right. Craw. 494/39; RSC 29. Some smoothing to fields, mostly on obverse, peripherally on reverse. Strike somewhat off center, with typical flatness, but what's present is crisp. Nice old toning. Very Fine.
