Constantine I, the Great, AD 307-337. Gold Aureus (5.07g) minted at Nicomedia, later part of AD 313. Diademed head right of Constantine the Great. Reverse: Victory standing right holding inscribed shield set on cippus. RIC 5. Very rare. About Very Fine.

This coin was prompted by the alliance between Constantine and Licinius, which was eventually terminated in AD 321.
