Lot 537

The Press, Philadelphia, December 19, 1903. Story on Page 2, top of column 6, "This 'Flying Machine' Flies," about Orville and Wilbur Wright's historic flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, just two days earlier. Much detail, although much was erroneous. Includes feature that makes this aircraft different from earlier aircraft. Issue also has Christmas ads for the Edison Phonograph in the last column. Irregular at the spine, browned and a bit pulpish at the edges. One of the best Wright Brothers reports! Historical and a key issue.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500.
