(Green, Henrietta "Hetty"), Green, Edward H.R (1834-1916) American financier, called "The Witch of Wall Street" for her miserly ways; inherited a large fortune from her father and invested it shrewdly, leaving an estate valued at $100-200 million. Her son, Edward, was elected a director of the Ohio and Mississippi Railroad and purchased the Houston and Texas Central Railroad. Document Signed ("E.H.R. Green"), being a receipt signed for his mother, acknowledging receipt of $1,060 from Edith R. Gellatly for property at 175 Madison Avenue, New York, September 30, 1911, 3½ x 8¼ in. Hetty Green's name is printed on the receipt. Document is glued down at corners to a larger board, else Fine. Anything even mentioning Hetty Green is quite rare.
