Autograph Letter Signed ("Alfred"), Genesee Depot, Oct. 31, 1953, 1½ pp, legal folio. To novelist Edna Ferber, with personal content: "…nothing wrong with me but fatigue….We've been sleeping 12 hours at a stretch….Lynn was as near dead as I was but she doesn't clack about it as I do--she looked nineteen yesterday….Saratoga Trunk sounds thrilling--wish we could sing….We aren't working until next fall!"
