Caruso, Enrico (1873-1921) Italian tenor. Manuscript Note Signed on the address side of a photographic portrait postcard of Caruso, Florence, Italy, July 17, 1919. A thank-you note to Carl E. Peck in New York, thanking him "for the delecious [sic] box and good wishes, both much appreciated…" The photograph, by Varischi & Artico of Milan, is a 3/4 portrait of the singer, nattily dressed in pin-striped suit and white hat. Light toning and some silvering to photo; bent corners do not affect image.
