Fr-61a. 1862, $5 United States Note. Pleasing for the grade. Seemingly original but a bit faded on the reverse. By 1862, this type was changed from a Demand Note to a Legal Tender Issue by the removal of the "On Demand" obligation. However, they are in great "Demand" today! While the holder says Fr. 62, the note it self is really a Fr. 61a. An error on the part of the grading company. CGA graded Very Fine 25. Estimated Value $500 - 600
