Egypt. Ptolemaic Kings. Ptolemy IV, 221-204 BC. Gold Oktodrachm (27.6 g). Rare. Radiate and draped bust of Ptolemy III right, wearing aegis, elaborate trident at shoulder. Reverse: Radiate cornucopia, bound with fillets; name and title around, ΔI below. Stylish portrait, well struck up. With gentle wear, and lacking the marks and scuffs so often seen on these. Very Fine.
