Calabria. Tarentum, c. 281-272 BC. AR Nomos (6.5 g). Nude youth on horseback, crowning himself; IΩ above left, IAΛO and Ionic column below. Reverse: Taras astride dolphin left, holding apluster and distaff, ethnic below. SNG ANS 1142; Cf. Vlasto 803. Both devices well centered and complete. Light doubling seen on obverse youth. Choice Very Fine.
