Marcian, 450-457 AD. Gold Solidus (4.44 g), Constantinople, struck 450-453 AD. Diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust, three-quarters facing, holding spear and decorated shield. Reverse: Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross, star at right.; Officina Z. RIC 510; DOCLR 481. Very lustrous, and well struck up. Faint mark or graffiti obverse right field. Extremely Fine.
