Augustus, 27 BC-14 AD. AR Denarius, Colonia Patricia mint, struck 19-18 BC. Bare head of Augustus right. Reverse: Round shield inscribed CL.V, between aequila and standard. RIC 86a; BMCRE 417. Sharp portrait, toned, with lovely iridescent golds and steel blues and greens in the recesses. Some residual luster. Pleasant example of type. Choice Very Fine.
