Three Handsome "Coin Glass" Goblets. United States, 1890's. The clear glasses substantial, and made for heavy use. Base of goblets formed from three-part molds, having fluted stems, and the bases are formed into a faceted hexagons. Centered in the facets, and alternating front and back views, is a molded image of a U.S. Half Dollar of 1892. One glass with chipping to underside of foot, the rest perfect. Heights: 6-7/8". Interesting and rare. Lot of 3. Perhaps a spin off from the merchandising being produced for the Columbian Exposition, in Chicago, at the same date.
Estimated Value $500 - 750.
