Columbian World's Fair, Chicago, 1892-1893. Three Exceptional "Landing" Medals. Two in aluminum, one in white metal -- all with notable renditions of Columbus claiming the New World for Spain. One of the aluminum pieces, the so-called Fair Dollar, the reverse with a choice aerial view of Chicago and the Fair. The other with a splendid bust of Liberty left, and the white metal piece with the dome of the Administration Building. All pieces in exceptional state of preservation. Diameters: 44 mm. - 50 mm.
