Ionia. Herakleia ad Latmon, c. 150 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.92 g). Head of Athena right, wearing crested, elaborately adorned helmet, having Pegasus and foreparts of five horses. Reverse: Horizontal club, Nike below, standing between two monograms, ethnic above; all within oak wreath. SNG Lockett 2823; Pozzi 2452. Modest peripheral striking flatness on reverse. Toned and lustrous. With finely detailed, compelling portrait. Extremely Fine.
