Thracian Kingdom. Lysimachos, 323-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.79 g), Lysimachaeia mint, struck 297-281 BC. Head of deified Alexander the Great right, diademed, with horn of Ammon. Reverse: Athena enthroned left, arm resting on shield, holding Nike in outstreched hand; lion's head at left, KO by knee, MP monogram on throne. Thompson --; Muller 46 var. Perfectly centered and well struck, with scattered peripheral porosity. Toned. A big, handsome piece, the Athena especially so. Extremely Fine.
