Bruttium. Caulonia, 425-388 BC. AR Stater (7.86 g). Apollo advances right, brandishing leafy branch, fillet hanging from extended arm; monogram at left. Reverse: Stag stands right. Noe pl. XIV, 117 (this coin); cf. SNG ANS 213 and SNG Munich 1414, for similar. Apollo of superb quality and style. Reverse die with breaks. Fine deep old collection toning. Choice and scarce for type. Extremely Fine.
