Lot 389

1916-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. One of the finest graded of this important early San Francisco issue, the surfaces are especially bright and fresh and the fields are bathed in the satiny luster attendant to 1916 silver coinage. There is a lovely light golden hue around the periphery of both the obverse and reverse. Close examination will note very few marks from handling, and the only identifying ones we found were faint scrapes on back wing feathers of the eagle. PCGS has graded 10 this high, and importantly just a single coin higher. One for the Registry Set collector.
Estimated Value $6,000 - 7,000.
