1852. Pattern Gold Dollar. Gold, plain edge. . J-145. . P-173. NGC graded Proof 67. Rarity-5. This is the finest graded by either service! Superb golden color and boldly struck throughout. We note a light layer of haze to note the passage of time, and the surfaces are pristine. The obverse is a crenulated line design encircling the central perforation, on the reverse is the date 1852 and a wreath below. This one is the finest and only PF-67 graded by NGC, and PCGS has graded none higher than PR-66. An important coin for the pattern specialist.
Estimated Value $15,000 - 17,500.

Realized $12,075
