Lot 860

1863 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 65. Deep bluish to dark gray on the obverse, the reverse lighter with russet colors at the center and steel gray for the balance. Sharp and well preserved, with minor hairlines in the fields from a higher grade. These deeply toned proofs are quite the norm, as silver is supposed to "tone" over time, and 140 years (nearly) is a lot of time.
Estimated Value $3,000 - 4,000.

Realized $2,875
