1794 Liberty Cap Half Cent. PCGS graded AU-53. This is an early die state, struck after the dies had clashed, but before the crack appears at the cap. Lovely surfaces that are evenly toned a medium brown color, with no signs of spots or other problems. Struck on an excellent planchet, the only signs of striations are before the face in the field, near the rim. While this is a common variety, few are found this nice, and as such, a coin that will always command attention whenever it is sold.
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,500.

Realized $7,475
