1917-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. Mint mark on reverse. NGC graded MS-65 Pittman. Well struck throughout and only minor weakness on the high points, the fields with the familiar satiny luster seen on these early issues. This one has smoky gray toning on both sides, with colorful flecks near the rims. Tied with a small group for the best seen by NGC, only 13 have been graded this high, with none graded higher. Further enhanced by the Pittman pedigree.
