Lot 741

1901-O Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. This is a scarce date in gem mint state, PCGS has graded 4 this high, with only 2 coins graded higher. Note the delicate gold peripheral toning and the mint-fresh luster in the fields. New Orleans did not strike this one fully, there is some weakness on the lower obverse stars and more so on the reverse devices. Liberty's cheek is clean and shows faint horizontal lines from the original planchet rolling process. A rarity that is seldom offered in such high grade, and worth a good bid.
Estimated Value $8,000 - 10,000.

Realized $7,475
