Lot 502

1857-O Liberty Seated Dime. NGC graded MS-67. Here is one of the finest known of the date. The surfaces are pristine and show virtually no signs of handling or abuse. Toned with magnificent blues and golds on both sides, with darker shades at the periphery, and light at the centers. Curiously, the toning is in flakes, and is not evenly distributed, and there may be traces of a fingerprint on the obverse, as some of the toning appears in lines. Boldly struck, with complete details on the stars, Liberty and the wreath. Only 6 graded this high according to the recent NGC Population Report, with a single coin graded higher.
Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,000.

Realized $3,565
