1796. JR-1, Rarity-3. . R-1. PCI graded Good-6. Here is a problem-free example of this important type issue. The fields are medium to light gray while the devices are offset by lighter shades of silvery-gray. Although worn, the rims are well separated from the lettering and stars on both sides, and the eagle and wreath are clear. On the obverse, the die shows a lump attached to the first star, as seen on virtually every coin struck by this die.
