1838 Liberty Seated Half Dime. Stars, no drapery. NGC graded MS-65. One of the best to survive and the first year of the "with stars" type. Apparently many were saved, and because of the their small size many were saved in high grade. Deep green and blue toning on both sides, and pristine surfaces beneath, from what we can see, keep this coin in the gem class. The NGC Population Report shows 58 have been graded this high, while an additional 54 have been graded higher. Fully struck on each side, and impressive in every way.
