1885 Liberty Nickel. MS-60 Plus. This one has nice surfaces for the grade, a few minor hairlines, but they are toned over with familiar nickel gold colors. Bright luster in the fields and well preserved aside from the hairlines. The key date to the series, mintages plunged on minor coinage while the Philadelphia Mint closed down production on February 16, 1885 through nearly the end 1886.
