Lot 374

1854 Silver Three Cents. PCGS graded Proof 64. As a proof, this is an extremely rare coin, about 30 were struck, and perhaps 20 remain today. This one has delicate gray color with some lightly mottled areas on the upper obverse, the reverse is more rose colored and better balanced. If you want a lovely near-gem example of this date, then take a look at this coin. One of 3 graded as such by PCGS, with a single coin graded higher by that service. An opportunity to "choose" from 4 extremely rare high grade proofs of this date, certainly an opportunity not to be equaled any time soon, perhaps never again, once this small hoard is disbursed. In an old style green insert PCGS holder.
Estimated Value $12,500 - 15,000.

Realized $14,663
