Honorius, 393-423 AD. Gold Solidus (4.4 g), Ravenna mint, struck 402-406 AD. Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Honorius right. Reverse: Emperor standing frontal, head right, holding labarum and Victory, foot on captive below; R V in field. RIC 1287 ("Milan and Aquileia styles"). Well centered, with residual luster. The reverse boldly struck, and in very pleasant style. Nearly Extremely Fine.
