Arcadius, 383-408 AD. Gold Solidus (4.4 g), Rome mint, struck 404-408 AD. Listed in RIC as "Milan style," and noted as "rare." Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Arcadius right. Reverse: Emperor standing frontal, head right, holding labarum and Victory, foot on captive below; R M in field. RIC 1251; Ratto 14. Well centered, with some residual luster. Choice Very Fine.
