Valentinian II, 375-392 AD. Gold Solidus (4.5 g), Treveri mint, struck 376-377 AD. Diademed, draped, and cuirassed but of Valentinian right. Reverse: Beneath figure of Victory, senior and junior emperors enthroned facing, holding between them a globe, palm branch at feet; in exergue, TROB T. RIC 39; Sear 4147 var. Sharply struck. Nice gold tone, with lustrous fields. Nearly Extremely Fine.
