Hasmonean Period. John Hyrcanus I, 134-104 BC. AE Lepton. . Hen-458. Choice and rare. Upright palm branch, flanked by Hebrew inscription in four lines on either side. Reverse: Lily, within beaded circular border, "A" monogram at left. Hendin 458; AJC I, Group O. Sharply struck and nicely centered. With black-green patina, and tan earthen highlights. Extremely Fine.
