Thrace, c. 475-380 BC. Lot of Four Fractional AR's. Interesting material, with some rarities. Earliest: Thasos, c. 490-450 BC., AR Obol (0.6 g): Two dolphins, antithetically displayed / Quadripart incuse square; SNG Cop. 1020. Two of Maroneia, c. 398-385 BC. with Gorgon obverses, and Grape cluster reverses: Obol (0.6 g), Schönert-Geiss 353 var; Hemiobol (0.3 g), cf. Schönert-Geiss 386 (obol). Lastly: Trieros, c. 450-400 BC., AR Hemiobol (0.2 g): Forepart of galloping horse right / Ethnic within squares in quartered square; SNG Cop. 821. All clear strikes, with varying degrees of toning. Coins average solid to nice Very Fine s.
